Lighting Study - Bullitt 4

Another lighting study from a scene in Bullitt. This is a nice transition from the first sequence, which has unusual transitions as well as much moodier lighting.... the sunrise has a nice effect of driving home the time and location change and "wakes us up" from the stylized opener. Or maybe I'm reading into it. :)

There's a lot of details I wanted to go in and explore, but I'm doing these as quick warmups.

Premiere! of Green Lantern: The Animated Series

Hey everybody! Sorry for the extended absence, it's been a busy Fall so far....

Just stopping in to let you know about the PREMIERE of WB & DC's first CG show, Green Lantern: The Animated Series! Check it out tonight at 7/6c on Cartoon Network!

Based upon the DC Comics super hero, GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES follows Earth's Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, who is used to being in dangerous situations — but never anything like this! In the farthest reaches of deep space, Hal patrols the Guardian Frontier, where he must face down invasions from the evil Red Lantern Corps., who have sworn to destroy the Green Lanterns and everything they stand for. With ever-emerging galactic threats, Hal is soon joined by an all-new group of heroes on a mission to protect Guardian Space — and the Green Lantern Corps itself!

I've had the privilege of designing sets and lighting for this show all year, and working for some of the best in the business-- Producers Giancarlo Volpe and Jim Kreig, and Executive Producer Bruce Timm! Not to mention awesome teammates in writing, design, story, and animation, and overseas production by studio CGCG! (And a special shout out to Josh Middleton for leading the way back in the development days!)

We're all really proud of this show and hope you can check it out tonight... If you do, comment and let me know what you think!
